Everyday Tarot

Yes, I am. I’m back! And that is a good thing coming at the tail end of a week of eh, not so terrific things. First, of course, is the fact that I have been gone. Unfortunately, my cable company thinks that I should pay for the services that they provide, and pay for them on time. While I completely agree with this notion in principle, my life doesn’t always live up to my expectations and I occasionally - or more than occasionally - end up being unable to meet that commitment. When that happens, I end up missing in action for a few days or a week. That’s what happened last week.

Of course, there was a GOOD side to that - someone in my neighborhood had unsecured wifi, which allowed me to occasionally skate online for short periods of time. Unfortunately, sometime last weekend, they apparently figured out how to secure their wifi and that did me in. No more internet access for me till I could get the bill paid. That gets a little complicated, since I actually make my money online and if I can’t get online, I can’t generate income.

On the other hand, in the interest of being true to my mother’s half-full philosophy of life, being offline meant that I had all the time in the world to devote to things I’ve been neglecting - things that I can do without an internet connection. And the result of that concentrated time - my patio has been cleaned and trenches dug to install a retaining wall around my raised planting bed… just in time for spring planting. Considering that we’re JUST past the danger of night frosts, I’ve got that done just in time.

The other project I put time into - my Tarot deck. I managed to clean up several cards and put together several more. I’m now three cards away from having the Major Arcana finished. My favorite?
